Hagios Akins articles have really helped me to understand certain aspects of life, enabling me to better relate with my environment and people around me. He has the right words for you. He is committed to simplifying the complexities in life, both spiritually and physically.
I must confess, I admire your choice of vocabularies in all your articles. Your write ups are really motivational and corrective. Especially, Radical Honesty series, the parts I read really got me thinking… Truly the world would be a better place if we are honest to each other about our feelings, emotions and other aspects of life. You know what, Hagios, you are a great writer. More ink in your pen. The sky is your starting point. Looking forward to your published books.
Your articles have helped me to understand and get the best out of people. The way you give examples from experiences in illuminating the subject matter is raw and relatable, I must confess.
I have read some of Hagios Akins’ works on poetry, and I love the fact that he writes on topics anyone can easily relate with. And I love the imagery his works portray in the mind of the reader as well. Style of writing is simple yet deep.
My first encounter with Hagios Akins was about 8 years ago... And since I’ve known him, he’s like an open source that many people tap from—both young and old. Really, it’s a bit difficult for me to open up to people, but it’s different with Hagios; and I don’t want to believe it’s because of the kind of relationship I’ve built with him, but because I’ve always gotten befitting answers to my questions. And one of the nice part of being close to him, really, is having a first-hand access to his contents. Have you seen any of this guy’s stuff? Wow! He’s loaded.
I’ve known Akins personally for more than 5 years, and I can attest to how passionate he is about writing and reading. And over the years he has improved greatly, and that’s as a result of his ability/willingness to learn. Thus, Learning comes from reading and Experiences. Going through his work on Radical Honesty, a certain memory came to my mind, and from that I can deduce that being honest about our emotions is a great factor for change. I’m looking forward to more write ups from him. It takes a lot of devotion and concentration to put up a piece as the Radical Honesty series, and with time I’ll visit them again to draw references
“I have known Akins for quite some time and I must say, he is one with insight—an incredible amount of it. It is one thing to have a message: it is a whole new ball-game to convey it. The way he communicates his thoughts and opinions in an articulate manner is worthy of emulation. I am one who learns a lot from his blog—especially the Lifestyle and Religion section.”
"I like something about you that you once mentioned about the authors you read their books; that they wrote from their experience. You, as well, write from what you have seen and felt. It’s advantageous to your readers because you are sharing your experience and lessons. Your write-ups are relevant to reality—real life situations."
Akins and I met in FUPRE. We served in same the fellowship on campus (to emphasise how well I know him). Knowing Akins from afar would sure give you a false impression of him. But having known him closely, I can say he is tenderly, loving, and humble (this might shock you… lol). I’m grateful I have Akins as a brother, teacher and Friend.
It has indeed been an honour to know a personality like Hagios Akins. He has really contributed to my growth, knowledge and understanding of life, religion, academics and so much more. If I begin to list the various aspects he has influenced me, I will be out of breath. Hagios Akins both physically and through this platform inspires me to be my better self: Glory 2.0 and I'm sure the same goes for countless more individuals. Thank you Akins and keep on flying my dear.
