MENTORSHIP

This preacher came one day to my lecture hall, he preached so well, I loved it.

Yes, it was great.

I wanted to have him around me.

LONG after that moment, I received a phone call suddenly from an Unknown.

He said he heard about me so he wanted to discuss with me; he wanted to share knowledge with me on the scriptures.

He started, “The importance of works is very important”, he gave scriptures.

Well, I listened, I’m a good listener, he confirmed it.

So I asked, “Did you hear me debunk works? Did you see my materials debunk it?”

He said, “No, I heard about you”.
[First error]

As if it wasn’t enough, He debunked many of the Ministers I follow. He said ETERNAL SALVATION is not “totally” true. He had letters to the 7 Churches in Revelation off hand (I suppose), he quoted them.

Eventually, he said he saw anointing upon me, that I’d be a great preacher, so he wouldn’t want me to be misguided. He’d want to mentor me.

Haha….

Me?

Will I respect man who debunks what I see throughout the scriptures?
The main reason Christ came?
The Gospel I stand for?

No. I rejected it. Even the offer to meet with him.

I refused NONSENSE.

About an hour of my time was used that night because I was a good listener, I needed to know how DJs (mixer of the Gospel and the law) feel or think [I wouldn’t call it a waste].

I did well to try and find out who he was.

Funny, the caller ended up being the PREACHER I loved his teaching, one I said his message was great.

Sad 😔

What’s my point?

Here it is:

A preacher is not justified by just one of message of his that you listened to. You don’t just make one man a MENTOR because of his first message you listened to.
Over and over again, listen to him preach, interact with him on the scriptures.

Ask yourself:
Can I be with this man?
Are our minds both alike?
Can I listen to him teach me?

If tried and tested and found good, go ahead.
If not cool, back off, back out!!!

Not on one message, because he moved mightily, he taught so well.

You’ve not found a mentor yet.
No, not yet.

Had I followed him up that day, I would have regretted it. This message would not have existed at all. I would have been trapped, sealed and timid — scared of him seeing my posts on Facebook, listening to my message or reading my PDFs which teaches Eternal salvation.

Be thou wise.
Don’t walk into the trap of a damning Mentorship or Fathering relationship, it’s capable of tying you up for life.

Be wise, I repeat.

Loves.
