“Correct your child by throwing him inside a hot water.” 

Oh! Try this one after he asks you to teach him what your likes are. 
“Disconnect the break system of your car so that he’ll crash driving it.”
“Yeah… That’s pure love.”
Sounds Crazy, right? 

— Yes of course; really stupid. 
That’s exactly how it sounds when you say that God corrects with bad/dangerous situations. 
Jesus speaking… 
Matthew 7:11   If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
Your love for your child is nothing to be compared to the love God has for his Children; hence, bad situations for corrections is nowhere near Him. 

But… HOW DOES HE CORRECT? 
— Through the word [Scriptures/epistles]. (see 2 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 4:12)

— He corrects the Spirit, not the body.
He’s the Father of the Spirit. (see Hebrews 12:9)
