Don’t blame me
I’m only human too
Just like you.
I see my flaws too
Don’t judge me
I strive to be better too
Just like you.
You tell me to say my prayers
Fight my battles
You don’t want to give a hand
Yet, you wish I could be
Just like you.
To the Gods I pray, I cry like I sinned
But no, I only need pruning
Yet, they tell me
“You’re only human,
You have to be
Just like you.”
If the Gods don’t hear me
And you don’t help me
I’ll master me
I’m only human
I refrain
I quit the mission of being
Just like you.
Take me as I am
Don’t judge me
Watch as I grow in my capacity
The stress of becoming
Like you is Killing me
Trying to please you
I hurt
I quit being you.
