Social Media can be a source of entertainment, joy, love, information, surreal feelings and everything in between.
By 2021, it was forecast that there will be around 3 billion active monthly users of social media. From the statistics alone, it’s clear that social media has become an integral, unavoidable part of our lives and mental health.

A mentally healthy individual is said to be in a state of cognitive, behavioural and emotional well being but once our mental health is ill, we begin to malfunction in ways that we cannot even explain. Sometimes to the point of having hormonal imbalance.
This ill health, this malfunctioning can be caused from social media as the brain receives several information via neural networks and pathways affecting how we think, respond, feel and talk.

Now I know you guys are like what do you mean? Are you saying I should stop using social media? No…but there comes a point where the line needs to be drawn for our mental sanity.
