A time will come that you will be alone. Your peers that made you ignore things that would’ve benefited you will leave you. They will move on, adopt new ideologies. They would acknowledge that they were wrong about stuff they spoke about in college. You will then realise that you, too, were foolish to not have an opinion of yourself.
You don’t necessarily have to do things to boost a peer group ego. It ultimately ends in tears. Do what you really want to do. Think for yourself.
Be yourself, make decisions of your own. Be responsible for yourself at all times. That is comfort. That is peace of mind. It doesn’t leave any room for regrets.
