My Own CV
Well, this is my own CV. Except that presenting this to an employer would get me fired without even employing me first. What then? It's my website, created by me, I have the rights to myself. And please note, if my composition bores you, it doesn't have to be hard, just jump to the bottom, there lies the summary of the epistle. My name is Ayomide A. Akindahunsi. Welcome to my page!
But why “Hagios Akins”?
Brief etymology. I coined “Akins” from my Surname being “Akindahunsi”; and “Hagios” which is a Greek word meaning: pure, holy, saint (etc. all that is clean). Perhaps it is why I give no-BS, pure, advices in all of my posts and articles. So, it makes sense and it's easier learned by people than my 9-syllable full name.
History—A Little More About Myself and Writing
I started blogging in 2016 after I had started a religious group in my school. I would post my tapes on the blog for people to download and listen to my doctrinal tapes—the turnout was poor. But prior and through that time, I was an active Facebook content writer, had over 3000 Facebook friends who viewed and interacted with my updates.
2018, I left the platform because of some doctrinal hitches and Christian politics that played among the "preachers" I was followed. A lot of things did not sit right with me. Sad, I withdrew from the madness to focus more on the people I could relate more with in person.
Along the line, I started exploring poetry and I discovered the Poet in me. Really, the Poet and I have been doing well together since then. And this is why embedded in the stuff I write and teach are strong poetic devices that can bend iron bar and even crack lion’s jaw. I do all that to the complexities of life in an attempt to simplify them. Plus, a little bit of humour.
Education
I am a graduate of Petroleum Engineering (B. Eng.) at Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Delta state, Nigeria. (Second Class Honours, Upper Division). Took a course in Social Psychology (Weslayan University), organised and taught by Prof. Scott Plous. And since then, I have dusted Social Psychology textbooks and Books cover-to-cover. Maybe it's a something about the subject or the Professor that made it interesting? Anyways.
Not an Author, yet
However, I am learning (preparing) to do so. And when I am done, my product will be grand-style. Though, I have done a few public speaking, stood hours explaining the stuff in my head to people in groups (6 years on this), but I still wish to do more on a lager-scale. (By the way, how much would you like to have my first book?)
Dream
I am not Joseph (the dreamer), but I want to appear on TV shows, Newspapers, Magazines; travel places because of the things I do and how I have been of great value to people. I am willing to meet anyone who would love to help me make this happen. I really wish to travel the world to teach all of my topics to both old and young; male and female; anywhere in the world. I welcome sponsorship--or good advice.
Finally, I believe life may be a mess (nothing really makes sense here, right?) but learning a few things about it can make it more fun and exciting for everyone. Teaching the counterintuitive “how-to” is what I am passionate about doing without mincing words or sounding mystical.
So much for Curriculum Vitae, right? Forgive me. Now, the gist in brief. This time briefly. Keep scrolling.
